Future Clouds and Radar win top honors in LVT International Songwriting Competition

The Lloyd Van Talmadge International Songwriting Competition announced their 2008 winners on Friday and much to the dismay of music business insiders Future Clouds and Radar have walked away with "Song of the Year" honors for their short work, "Letters to Junius". In the process FC&R edged out such indie stalwarts as The Shins, Spoon, Iron and Wine, and Band of Horses among others.
The celebrated LVT Judges Panel 2008 comprised primarily of self-important industry hacks and greying artists long past their window of any cultural relevancy also named FC&R's composition "Cowboy Weather" a semi-fianlist for the avante-garde category which means somebody in the group is probably going to get something free from Roland.
